I'm NOT John Wick

I turned 47 at the end of March.

I’m not gonna lie, I wasn’t too thrilled about that number but I don’t dwell too much on that kind of things. Nonetheless, I wanted to do something fun (photography-wise) for my birthday so I spent some time in the studio to recreate a poster from a famous movie because that morning I had been told I looked like John Wick.

I know, I know… It’s a stretch but I’ll take the compliment. Who’s cooler than Keanu?

I searched for a good image to go for and almost immediately found what I needed, the poster from John Wick 4.

Now, it took me a little bit of time to get the lighting right. From choosing the right modifiers to flagging the light correctly with the right amount of power took about an hour to do. Plus posing myself was challenging since I had nobody to correct my microexpressions. I took A LOOOOT of images to get to that one. Yikes.

Honestly, this was one of the most fun self-portraits/recreations I’ve ever attempted.
