Some cool news

 I'll be teaching my first workshop at the end of April. Now, THAT is some news. 

It's one thing to think of yourself as an artist, and to create art for yourself or your clients, but teaching OTHERS how to create art is both exhilarating and nerve-wracking at the same time. 

When I was offered the opportunity to teach a workshop on my process and work I said yes before I could think about it for more than 2 seconds and shake my head no and backpedal in a panic. 

A Self Portrait... that makes me look way cooler than I feel at all times

I hosted a headshot party a couple of weeks ago... you know, come hang out, have a drink and some snacks, get a headshot. simple. and it went great. 
As I was packing up, I had some time to kill and inspiration struck... I thought: you know, I haven't done a self-portrait in a long time. busted out and dusted the tripod, mounted the camera...

... aaaaand CRASH!! The camera falls off, lands on the lens, lens breaks, heart breaks, and my bank account cried out... and I end up curled up on the floor for 30 minutes cradling my lens, because it's more precious than my kids. ;)

Anyways, once I got my stuff together, I made this shot... not bad, but is it worth $1,000?
