Newsletter Issue 19

Wedding season is back and I'm on fire!

My photography has been changing a lot over the past year and a half as I have developed a taste (obsession??) for portrait photography, but weddings are happening left and right these days. I get it... if a pandemic and several quarantines didn't destroy your relationship, and you still love that person enough you want to marry them, then getting married is right for you.

I've even shot vow renewals recently! I KNOW! The nerve of some people. 😜

When Anxiety ATTACKS!

I know puns are frowned upon but not in this household... the dad joke is strong here.

I know I have talked about this before on this newsletter and given the open rate of that issue, I'd guess you guys aren't fans of hearing about it, but since I'm not a quick learner, and also because I want you guys to know me, the months of June and July were a bit rocky for me. We partly remodeled our house and the stress of the remodel, the unfathomable mess in the studio, drywall dust everywhere, and a lack of good quality sleep just completely had me thrown into a mental tailspin by mid-July.

Since this is not my first go around, I know how it goes and I have to let it process in my brain. I know what happens. At the peak of my anxiety, I get angry at myself and I start getting incredibly productive and creative

... because, the only way is through.

So, in the span of 2 weeks, I scheduled 3 creative sessions and came away with really great work I am very proud of. I wanted the work to reflect my state of mind. I hope you enjoy them.
